A “good ole ’family fish fry” brought back fond memories for the community members at Creekside! Many stories were told of gatherings from long ago by a river bank. Memories of them “cooking them up fresh” while telling tales of who caught the most fish, rushed back like only yesterday. Even though there was no river at our fish fry, there were cast iron pots over propane tanks just like they remembered. The food was served outdoors with sunshine, a beautiful breeze, and their Creekside family.
Family members of our Leadership cooked the fish, and team members helped serve it, making it a true family affair. This was the second year for the fall fish fry. Word always spreads in the community about events “you don’t want to miss” due to past successes. The number of members who attended doubled from the previous year. You could hear talking about how fabulous it was for days after the fish fry! So….the countdown has begun for year three!
