Creekside Community Members Learning the Benefits of Yoga

news-20140611B-pict1Creekside community members are excited to have Yoga two times per month at the Creekside Clubhouse. Yoga provides us with breathing techniques, we have more energy and stamina; and we are learning about Vinyasa Flow Yoga, which is slower with more posing. We are also gaining knowledge that Restorative Yoga is a form of yoga using props, and postures held longer periods of time to initiate deep relaxing of the body, mind, and spirit. Our instructor, Joan Rosen is an accomplished and seasoned Yoga instructor with over 30 years of yoga study and 14 years of teaching experience. Mrs. Rosen is a “sunny” senior herself who is helping to provide our community members with a new approach to quality of life.
