Zoo Brings Eagles for a Visit
Recently, Creekside had two very special guests. The Dickerson Park Zoo brought a bald eagle and a golden eagle for Community Members to see. The presenters brought out the eagles one at a time—the regal birds perching on their arms as the presenter gave facts about each kind of bird. Community members learned that bald eagles are only found in North America, and that golden eagles are one of the most common birds of prey in the Northern Hemisphere. The birds captivated their audience, and many left in awe of their power and majesty. We are fortunate to have a local zoo that cares about educating the community about these and other incredible creatures.
